In the special section of the site there is a section showing some type of change with the center console. Is this your car Yuhki and what is going on? Thanks! :D

Questions for Yuhki

Yuhki,
I used a machine translator to translate your audio unit removal on rotor router, and am now translating the translation (whew!). Is there already a good English translation posted somewhere? I had a couple of specific questions, too:

1. When removing the audio unit, did you leave the gearshift in neutral? Would leaving it in 6th gear make it easier to remove the audio unit?

2. Did you remove the audio module from the face-plate? If so, can you describe this procedure?

3. Do you know how to switch the CD/6CD/MP3 trim piece (pictured below)?

Thank you.

Hey Yuhki,
Do you have the Base or the Bose system? I wonder if the BOSE part of the stereo is only in the amplifiers and speakers.

Don't know what they have up front, but we did see a module in the trunk area. Hopefully it's all "remoted", and not jury-rigged into the head unit.

I have not posted the translation anywhere yet.
I am very busy lately with my job.

A1. I did not take care of the shiht position. I think it was neutral position.

A2. No, I did not try that, but that may be in the audio option installation manual.
There is an installation manual for audio options in some language(Japanese, English, etc..). I do not have scanner to upload that instruction manual. I think your dealership can give you the manual.
My dealer gave me the manual with my car.

A3. This was also written in manual, I think. Please let me check after I came back business trip

BTW. I updated some pictures to how to remove audio unit.

(Still only in Japanese)

Unnnn. I think the Bose stereo is only the amp and speakers.
The amplifiers are in the upperside of the trunk area.

At least, the optional MP3 player(I don't have this option though) is made by "Pionneer".
