RX8 on FIRE...

Saw one Rx8 today at Paya Ubi with the engine already taken out of the car n the windscreen damaged n from the look of it the whole engine compartment was on fire before thus leaving the car look charred. Hopefully it is not an engine problem that caused the fire.....

Does anyone know what's the cause of the fire? 4-tooth did you see the car plate? At least have some gauge on how old the car is.

no man the number plate was already removed...... anyway I dun think it is a good idea to let everyone know of who was the victim.. ha ha ..... Reason why I am posting this topic is just to find out how many more RX8 suffered from the same problem? N is the car in stock condition n catches fire or aftermarket mod which causes it to happen? Turbo????

I've done a search but can't decided which type of extinguisher is better. Some chemical powder are corrosive and will most lightly damage the components. CO2 not practical if out in the open air.

Anyone got any good recommendations?

Use those Gas type.
Not liquid ones...(prevent petrol spreading)

CAUTION: you need to safe keep the extinguisher blow 50degC

< i found a small one 400ml at $8.90 made in Germany or UK>
