RX8 Insurance
#2
Sorry, don't know what NCD or sg is because I am an old fart and because of that my insurance isn't bad but... insurance isn't bad for the RX-8 because it is a four door. Mine ended up being a little more than the previous Passat. All insurance is too high!!! Mark Twain once wrote that insurance is a scam and will never catch on. He didn't plan on having lawyers that own insurance companies writing the laws.
Once you find out how much it is, post it. I am just curious. Mine is something like $1300 a year for 1 car full coverage, 1 car liability, and high enough coverage to apply a $1mil umbrella liability. That also includes about $6 a month from Geico that gives me 7yr, 100k miles extended warranty on the new RX.

There are 2 other types of discount where NTUC is concern.
5% loyalty discount - if u are their customer for 3 years and above. but if u're
with them for 2 years plus some haggling, u will get it too.(but dun talk to their
customer officers, talk to their insurance executive.)
5% direct customer discount. That means u buy yr insr direct from NTUC without going thru the dealers. Many a times, a insr broker thru a PI will earn a small comm from yr insr. Go to the NTUC office and they will give u a form to opt out from the dealer to buy direct. What's the point of lettng these bloodsuckers earn yr hard earn money for zero service. Not even a birthday card.

Well, I dont know about NTUC. They are really bad with their claims. So I gave them a miss. So far only 3 companies accept - AIG, AXA and NTUC. I got from AIG @ $2,100 w 0% NCD. Some collision crap a year back hee hee.
