i get my own mineral from Autobacs and bring down to my usual mechanic to do the oil change, filters etc. This is for simple servicing. Actually its no choice cos MG was away in Japan.

I did mine at DKC... the servicing is cheap but u nid to tell them wat sort of servicing u wan to do... lately they r promoting trust rotary oil which comes in semi synthetic and fully synthetic which is much cheaper than autobacs... normally they will use bizol mineral oil...which cost $35...

u can try ask for advice from the owner Kaz Shirane.. he will be more than happy to teach u... He actually tell me if my car is meant for normal road driving dun nid to use expensive oil... but if u wan to go tracking, then is advisable to go for those high end engine oil. Whether u go for wat oil, it is always advisable to change every 5k.

Therefore it depends on ur budget... if u willing to spend more on better oil by all means.

No wonder lah. Wanted to replace engine oil but found MG closed. No choice also switched back to Shell mineral. Hope it won't be a problem because I was running on Trust previously.

By the way, does anyone knows how many litres of coolant is required to do a coolant flushed?
Found the answer: 9.8 litres

I'm on Shell for 20,000km and the last 5K on Idemitsu. Strange thing is that on Shell, i dun need to top up the engine oil but on Idemitsu, i need to do tat .....hmzzz

i think for rx8 depends on ur drivability... engine oil nid to be top up once a month... however my last oil wif bizol... after 3mths i nid not top up... as i am a heavy user of my car....i usually go 5k every 2-3mths.... DKC Jitousha is located at tampinese industralia park A...u can call Kaz Shirane for appointment at 96344743.

I do mine at the appointed workshop of the PI. Use Shell Mineral Oil. I send in every 3000km. Each time $59. Got lounge to drink kopi read papers and watch DVD. They even have a massage chair. I will switch when I find a workshop with full HC services.
