congrats on the new car...
thanks dude...

that's what i was told, normal for heat in the centre console. but surprisingly, the heat shielding do works! now the car doesn't feel hot if i drive it normally...keeping it under 5k rpm to and fro work.

3-series and M3?? never thought of that, 8 is both pretty and affordable...

My 8 has celebrated its man3 yue4 and is a joy to drive. Nothing like getting off work and getting a bit of therapeutic driving in. Heh but still havent hit the 1k mark for it to be sent for its first servicing yet, still at 890+ km. I presume that the servicing is free since its under warranty and bah blah blah. Fuel consumption is about 420km for 55 litres so far.

And kids love the car. They stare at it and you can see them point and go "daddy daddy, sports car!" and then they wave at you and you wave back and they grin even more and jump up and down. Chicks dig it too.

Now, I just need to clock in another 100+ km before i go for servicing. And figure out where the oil thingee is so I can top up rotary engine oil as and when. Guess I shall be turning up somewhere to buy RE rotary engine oil sometime soon...

ARRRRGGGGHHHHH...some !#@#$$^$&**# stole the blue metal caps off the thingee on my wheels where you pump air in. Was washing my car and soaping the rims when i noticed it was missing. WTF man...i'm super pissed off. They dont even match another car lor - unless you have the same blue thingee on the tyres. In which case, you wouldnt have to nick them off someone else. Walked the whole car park looking for a joker with blue metal nuts. Now I have to make a trip back to LS to pick up the little metal bits (or elsewhere if there are recommendations).

On the upside, of all the things that could happen to a new car, it could have been worse. But i still hate thieves. I hope one or all of the twit's tyres bursts and he crashes into a NParks truck full of sewage water and dies in the s**t he deserves to live in. Jerk.

Sigh, was also working late so missed the meetup on Friday. Would have liked to come down and see more chio 8s.

And hello kitty with pink.

Just saw the x-men 8 on sunday. My wife says they must time the entrance to the car properly as the front must open before the back and then the back must close before the front.

Hooray, my 8 has finally passed the 1000km mark after 1.5 mths of driving! First it celebrated its man yue and now the 1000km birthday. Really opened up the throttle on the ECP early sunday morning and before i knew it the speedo went up to 140kmh from 98kmh. Phwoar. Not used to such responsiveness. But very shiok, especially in windy roads. As always, have an happy grin on my face that won't wear off for a while.

Guess I shall be sending it for first servicing @ ST Powered this weekend. For the engine oil change, I am thinking of bringing in my own rotary engine oil and asking them to fill that instead of mineral oil. Does anyone know if that is ok with the garage?

If so, I'll probably be looking for coupe07 and some RE rotary engine oil. Wonder how many cans i need and how much it will cost...

You will need 4 1/2 litres of Engine oil and plenty of Shell 98 power to power your undying revs on your 8.
