Some comments about installers. The Good, Bad and the downright con-mens.
I just got my car. I love it so much. Its simply the best , everything is top-notch except the fuel consumption.
I met up with my ex-car buyer to remove some items that he did not want which i have installed in my old car.
We found out the installer for my broquet and RSM was total crap. The broquet's adapter was fitted wrongly and cannot be removed, in the end the main distributor sent down a technicioan to remove it.
Next, the RSM was connected so sloppily, wires were cut and twisted with no insultation, etc.
The installer who installed all this is McXXXX. And that wasn't the only trouble, they failed to properly install a VAFC in my old CRV; the check light kept coming on and the car stalls. And the wires were so horribly cut!!! (Nearly had to replace the wire harness) I heard many other car owners had the same problem with them. No wonder my neighblour told me to stay clear of them; but it was too late as i already bought from them.
Kena chop from their high price yet got **** labour! (btw, they replaced the faulty VAFC with a broquet and Iridium plugs which mean i still lose some money in the process.
Its really very important to find a good installer. Expensive is still forgivable (not carrot-head price but reasonable price) but sloppy labour is a crime.
I had a few stuff installed by a very good installer. He installed and tune my audio till it was 1 am; and thats called dedication. and his work is very meticulous, wires were connected professionally and everything done the way it should be.
I will not post his address and shop name as i believe he is already very famous among alot of forummers. His business was so good yet he takes his time doing the installation properly.
A clue to his shop is that its in Hougang behind a famous food stall.

Hi
My advise is to ask around be4 u do anything cos many bros here have lots of experience modding. If u want to buy, ask around and chances is u find someone who knows the boss and u can get a better discount. Take Yap brothers for example.
I am sure there are many other vendors/workshops that u need their service so my advise is seek the info here :D
