Still love your 4 AT?
I guess most of us 4 AT owners must be wondering what the 6 AT is really like in terms of our daily or weekend driving experience as in my case.
My weekend route around the usual twisty bits are well coped by the 2nd gear and occassionally 1st gear (rarely). My fren who accompanies me in his MX 6 AT tells me he has to alternate more between 2nd and 3rd on those stretches where I am still in 2nd gear.
Anyone has current experiences with both the RX 4 AT and 6 AT and would like to lay out the major differences in driveability, please share?

More frequent shifting = more work on torque converter = faster failure = more repairs = more $$$ for mazda to build 20B.
Same theory for manual, more shifting (which I guess most of the ppl here do), clutch gonna used up sooner. But who cares.
For me, I know I'm not going professional, so 4AT is good enough,
even for occasional track.
By the way, why all the segregation between 4AT, 6AT, 5MT, 6MT?
Transmission is a personal preferences. A RX8 is a RX8.
I would buy a skyline, regardless of transmission.

It's almost a year since I drove her home, my 4AT, that is and it remains as beautiful as the day she arrived.
Finally crossed the 3000km mark and that's with a run to KL and back thrown in. The only annoyance to an otherwise lovely drive was the speed limiter kicking in exactly at 180kph.
Verdict? Still love my 4 AT!
