Without reading the website, I'm sure they claim better mileage, more power, improved responsiveness, improve ride, handling and make you look more handsome! :D Don't waste money...

looks like rx8 needs a twin surbo, since it claims to improve low end torque, wich a stock rx8 is seriously lacking. moreover as listed on the website, installation costs is $140. dunno if this is all in, or juz labour only.

since it claims to improve FC, i tink i will give it a try.

I think the surbo may only work on the standard saloon car which thier redline is around 6000 rpm, if you put in rx8 i think u will loss more than gain.

save your money & change to light weight flywheel or for even better performance , Clutch+flywheel which the Ogura or MintBlue is offering the silent operation type with clutch pedal pressure around 18kg (power you exert to press down the clutch pedal) the original in rx8 is around 15kg.

I had the ATS carbon clutch+light weight flywheel+UR pulley set in my car, the pick up is definitely better than the stock rx8.

this is their reply:

Hello. The surbo increases the air intake's suction, overcoming air filter
losses & gives the engine more air & thus higher compression. It will improve
pickup & save fuel due to greater torque. This enables revving to red line on
1/2 throttle. It suits autos & manuals with limited air intake space. Price is
$80, drive-in @ 120A Jalan Jurong Kechil [terrace house opp Toh Tuck Rd
junction-see the white 120A sign]

The twin surbo adds low-rpm power too, & saves more fuel due to better cruising
torque. Matches diesels' narrow rpm range, & manuals, with enough space. For
autos, read www.surbo.net/auto.html first. Costs $140, drive-in.

Please call when you are free to try this. Installation takes 1/2 to 1 hr.
There's a 30 day money back gtee. The product is transferable & carries a
lifetime warranty. If on site, add $20/trip (non-refundable). For 2 cars at 1
go, it's $5 off each.

Let me know if you need to understand more, or need help to proceed. You can
also send pics of your air intake.

:D :D I always like posts by Neon, no pissing around eh mate! Just have a look at the Surbo web site...does it seem legit? Suction...Turbo...as fast as money outta yer wallet :p Naw, looks like hardcore BS to me. What really makes it suffer is the "Surbo Difference" graph...it was made in simple MS Excel. LOL...I can make one of those too. Maybe they hire me to manage their web site?
