Well, I actually feel comparisons are pointless. It brings me back to the days in kindergarten when kids would fight over whether Megatron is better than Optimus Pprime, cos one bunch of kids had Megatron toys and the other bunch had Optimus Prime toys. Then there was a third bunch that had neither. So all will fight and the resolution was no resolution at all, but the satisfaction of giving the doofus you didnt like a good hair pulling / cheek slapping / nose punching / black eye / pinching. Anyway, it says a lot abt the maturity of a 5 yr old those days.
And forummers who say nothing at all here are also saying a lot on what they think of these comparisons.
BUT....its fun to stir ****.

aiya.. the comparison between a rx8 and the wrx or the evos is so old school.....
NA vs TC.... if they can win us, its really nothing to shout about...... all these kukus only talk abt the WRX winning the rx8. You dun see them gg around telling pple the rx8 smoked the wrx.
One true example... i once outran a stock wrx.... and after a few bends the rex was nowhere in sight... once out on the straights, u see the rex again, and that is after i oredi filtered to my left, driving very slowly to "wait".... If he dun provoke me, i will not induce a race with him.... the point is, dun tailgate my backside and provoke me.....
Now you dun see the WRX telling everyone in the forum that he was "Chiet-ed" by the rx8... right?? having said that, my car is still very NA. But u dun see me ranting in rx8 forum or go subaru forum and said i chiet the wrx, rite? wats there to shout abt? there are so many cars out there, compare apple to apple is more sensible lah... TC chiet NA is nothing new, nothing fantastic. In fact TC should win NA hands down.
Very very sad to say, most wrx drivers are damn no style... there was once this fat beng with his fat fren came all the way very fast and cut in front of me.... then put neutral and blow out 2 puffs of smoke in front of me...... i filtered out, drove beside him, gave him a thumbs down sign...... damn no style lah, these kukus....

To me, it does not matter how much faster u r den me, i like to enjoy my car the way it is meant to be, comfort-based sports car, not a drag race machine. Making comments like my car is faster den yours, etc etc just shows ur immaturity.
There is no end to this so I will refrain from any more replies to this meaningless discussion. Have a nice day =)

I also feel that it is pointless to compare these 2 cars.... We should all stop comparing, avenging and taunting each other before another life is lost.

Just last week i saw a totally smahed up wrx. Looks like the car has the control over the driver and the weak driver has no control over the car.
And whats done is the movies are usually not possible in real life. You mean someone can drift a car up a multi-storey carpark ramp? If you look carefully, there are wheels beneath the car.

so 'wu liao', cant drivers be sensible & not talk nonsense?! i agree that rex & evo a great & powerful ride but its the driver behind the wheel thats crap.
we bought our 8s for $130-$140, top up another 5k we get the top end evo, buy STI we still haf 10k spare..its not that 8's driver a *****, but every1 haf their own taste & style, own preferences for type of cars to choose from, eg; dc5, celica, rex, evo, gti lots more, all of them with different charateristic, different class..
i luv evo so much tat
i regret not buying the fast & powerful evo, but i would haf regret more if i own an evo today..

It's funny when you see them commenting about some TS dude trying to be wrx / sti look alike and end up blowing them on roads...all of a sudden TS became their brothers!!
1.6 TS impreza : $50k+
wrx / sti look alike hood : maybe $100
wrx / sti look alike exhaust : maybe another $200
volt / amp / temp gauges : at most another $300
brembo brakes calipers : $60
wrx / sti labels : $20
driving a 1.6 TS and have a wrx / sti as brother : priceless!!!

I think i've been sorely misunderstood here. I am not here to fling **** or input false details to sow discord between the 2 camps. You can very well click on that link and read for yourself that whatever I've stated in my first 2 posts hold true. This isnt a case of me putting words in someone else's mouth.
No slender, No libel whatsoever.
Moreover, I distinctively said that I'm sure you RX8 drivers are definitely a more mature bunch and would take this whole situation with a pinch of salt.
I am not the TS driver as some of you take me to be. I used to drive a REX, but that was years back when the 2 door STi Type Rs and the EVO 4s and 6s were much revered - unlike the run of the mill WRXs we see these days that have all but taken over the mantle of the Beng Mobil which until recently, belonged very much to the Honda Vtecs and SIRs.
Sometimes it seems that ignorance is bliss. I'm sorry if I caused such an uproar with this little piece of information I gave you with regards to the ongoings of Subaruclubsg.
But I just could not take their trash talking nor chest thumping anymore, which is why I chose to rant.
So by the way Jimmsss, rest assured that this thread wouldnt surface in some Proton, Toyota or Honda forum. Why the skeptism anyway?
