Which Tyre shop does Alignment (wf castor measurement)

Hi bro,

Anyone know which shop can do good alignment with castor measurement?

Recently changed my spring, the castor a bit off. Did my alignment in a lousy tyre shop which measure the castor using his finger!

After the alignment, still feel my steering a bit weird especially in HDB parking up slope, the steering wont rotate back to center as normal in slow speed. So, I think my castor is really off.

Appreciate if anyone can let me know where can measure the castor angle WITH some sort of device.

Thanks in advanced.

Or you could try Riverview at AMK autopoint as well. Several peeps I know (not 8 drivers though) go there for alignment.

ya it's worth the wait. you should explain your problem and preferences to him, and he should be able to give good advises.

yup...found a recommended wheel alignment spec in this forum. But a bit confused, the recommended camber seems too much:

Front Camber: -0`45' (was told that normal camber is -0`20')
Front Toe: -1.1mm
Castor: +6`41'

Rear Camber: -1`44' (isn't this too much for tire wear?)
Rear Toe: +1.7mm (toe out???)

attached with the recommended spec, please let me know that I should follow them. thanks

ok I must first clarify I'm no expert on alignment settings for the 8.

I would normally talk to kenny abt what i want and how i feel so that he can make adjustments. kenny has a few settings for the 8 so you can refer to them. on the figures above, think they look ok. +ve toe means toe-in, so it's ok, slight toe-out in the front and toe-in in the rear (for better turn-in). too much toe can cause tire wear so apply sparingly. the camber settings look ok too. think i'm using -1.5' (ie 1' 30") for the rear. camber settings depends on the vehicle height. with car lowered, think can go until 2' for more agressive settings. for stock, dun go beyond 1'.

i got Tein H tech on my ride. But afraid that -1.5' is a bit too much as I dont go track that often.

Think I'll set at -1' first, when going to track then increase it.
