I have no favourite workshops at the moment. I will be trying out a workshop recommended by a rx8 malaysia member. It is at Jalan 223 PJ (called BSA Motorsports). You can also send the car at any Naza branches. But they take a few days coz they are always packed.
For the rx8, naza uses Motul engine oil. I am gonna try the HKS RE oil. Expensive but from what i hear, it is worth every penny. The oil that we should use will be the 10w50 oil spec. As for filter, I am using K&N rx8 filter. The response is a little better. Not much of parts to mod yet. If you want a specific part, you have to order it down.
As for pros and cons: The pros of the car are...
1)Styling very breautiful and unique
2)Doors (2 main and 2 mini)
3) 4 seater
4) Powerful engine for a rotary 1.3
5) Roadtax (damn cheap)
6) ride is not to soft and hard
9) can rev until 9,300rpm (stock)
10) very big boot space
The cons are only a few.
1) Very few mod parts (now)
2) Cannot mod anything that has to do with engine or ECU (now)
3) Drinks a fair bit of petrol
4) The car feels a little heavy
