there are many.......

u prefer DIY or grooming centre?

u wan those "do it once" type
go for GLARE or TOUGH SEAL

u wan those use good quality polish type
go for autoglym, cazcomp (using zaino) or this place in bukit batok(using klasse)

u wan DIY (i prefer this method)
- hi glaze 88
- zaino (i noe quite a no. of bros stand by this)
- klasse (superb effect on a black car)
- autoglym resin polish plus extra gloss protection

try zaino... after the stupid car wash at mm, it left a lot of swirl marks. But voila...all gone after zaino...and i didn't even use z5(to get rid of swirl marks)...just the normal z2. Imagine what z5 can do...

The workshop I go to does a great job at polishing.
The shine really stays even after 2-3 months. In fact with my prev car, I want them to polish for me every 3 months, they also tell me dont need, and to come every 6 mths.

But seriously, after their polish, normal car wash can already. Give me a PM if you like to know where. Plus point is their service is great too!

3mendouz shine is those once a year type of polish, like glare and tough seal........... claim to protect ur car paint better than our normal wax n polish...... then regualr wash juz use only water or use their brand of shampoo.

zaino on the other hand is those "high class" polish and sealant which can increase ur shine..... but take note it is not those once a year type hor.....

to summarise, wan the shine, must work hard........ :D :D esp black cars...... look at bro naughty boy car that day.... his shine dat nite can put all the showroom cars to shame!!

Hi Darkelfin,

I am not too savy about wat type of polish and stuff. But I had a previous experience which was a package with one of those at some car parks and a branch at Shell Ser Gdns.

That one every month must do one time cos with every wash or in hot sun, the stuff just melts away. This package was $300 for 10 (walk in) - 12 (referred) times.

The current one by my workshop is not the same, cos rain or shine the shine still stays. You can tell cos even after 2 months, you can still feel the smoothness. Not siap siap. So on average, I go once every 6 months. Each time about $100. All in all I save $100.

And about service, they will pick up my car and return it to me at my workplace. so totally hassle free. But you must trust their guys to drive your beloved car lah....

Hi guys, I'm the DIY guy when comes to polishing and waxing the car, m using NXT wax, fairly easy to apply and get off. I used to use Autoglym Polish, but finds it too abbresive, anyone have got a good Polish to recommend? If i remember correctly, Zaino is a Polish and not a Wax rite?

cheers

i'm oso a DIY guy..... i nvr trust grooming centre to caress my baby..........

i'm using HI GLAZE 88 now. One pdt, many ways of using........ can mix in water to use as shampoo. Can mix with a little bit of water to wipe ur car or as detailer, can use as sealant/polish to shine ur car. One of the more value for money pdt that i have used as compared to many other brands.

Meguairs pdts are very good as well. The shine is not bad.

So far, ZAINO and KLASSE shine are out of this world........ simply superb!!! are very pricey.... juz the polish and sealant alone will cost $70 and above liao.....

i'm actually trying out a US product now as well, which was claimed to be used in all cars exhibition in USA..... the shine shown in pic to me was no horse run, even better than all brands mentioned here.... but then pictures lah so i quite receptive..... claim to have no abrasive compound as well.....

i will test on my baby and update u guys. Standby!! meanwhile u guys may wan to check out hi glaze 88.

Rite M-ster. Some waxes are really good, but of course we don't get the harsh weather conditions like in other countries (winter road salt, etc.), so many of us on the board only use Zaino polish, and it's superb. It does require a fair bit of effort since the best treatment is to apply three apps in one session, but once it's done, it lasts for up to six months

I'm with you on that quote coupe! Btw, for anybody that bought their ride from MM, never let them wash your 8 after servicing....MM wash/dry technique will put fine scratch lines on the clear coat! I made the mistake first servicing trip and had to use a Z5/ZFX treatment to conceal.

Guys,

I swear by Zaino. Works really great if u need to fill up those swirl marks (Z5 wif ZFX). I was talking to those workers at Cazcomp, they swear a layer of Z1 before each Z2/Z5 works great. Tried last weekend and the result is amazing. Gen, are u organising another mass Zaino session again?

Ren888, how's your result?

The trick is really a good claybar.
