Wink White RX8 - with Intercooler

Hi,

I recently saw a White RX8 at Sin Ming doing the front bumper. The front bumper was removed, then I saw the Big Intercooler at the front .... hmmm wondering whats in the engine. *wink*

Btw I wish to check with the person, maybe he/she can PM me on where he does it and how much was it.

Appreciate your reply. Thanks!

Drifter

i think that owner seldom visit forum, maybe or should be done at G.R. , Greddy Kit , they have done few so should know the standard right way to do it , things might not happen in US or Japan but we r in S'pore. Go for Australia MicroTech LT-10 for tuning if u can find e right person to do it or else stay with Emanager default parameters to keep your 8 alive.

Probably yes.

Garage R has done some of them. It should be from them. As far as I know abt Microtech, GT-R has done it and has experience. But I do not know have they done it for our cars. But Mapping it is not an easy task.

Whereas Bolt-on kits have mapped out Emanage which will be suitable for our cars.

thats the prob with sporeans.... one say bad only, the item is left being condemned...

if its no good, y is re amemiya, fujita engineering and many others using and endorsing this kit????

end of the day, to best optimise the kit is the tuning. Tuning screw up, everything oso no goood. Dun be so fast to condemn the product, ITS ALL ABT TUNING.

u got the correct tuning, the kit runs best.

Of course there's pros and cons..... It's just that whether you're dared to go ahead or laid back....

Thats why maybe sporeans shouldn't be so jumpy at every little issue.

As with everything mechanical; murphy's law applies. What will go wrong, will go wrong.

The is no such thing as a perfect car or perfect machinery. There will always be some problem somewhere somehow. Who in this forum can confidently say their car 100% no problem even when the car is stock?

And with all modifications, there must always have more margin for errors.

Garage R does do turbos for RX-8, i saw a silver one that was turbocharged and which had blue Endless brakes and a lot of HKS goodies. It is very deadly when ones stays so close to garage R.

Ultimately IMHO whether its turbo tuning or mech tuning, the kit used is up to one's preference and what you want from driving your 8.

Sorry i n00b abt this sort of thing, but i wanna ask..

What's the secret protocol with LTA regarding aftermarket turbo? Must remove before inspection? If so how much does that cost? Or just try to keep the installation as stealth as possible?
