Hi low-rider, thanks for the salutation yesterday, was on my way to 'cut grass' at RCC. Watch out for this AYE (80km stretch) as I was 'gun' down here in Jan'05. Hence I was driving within the speed limits (cannot afford to lose my licence and 8!!! Cheers!!!

do an appeal...it takes months and months b4 they finally fine you and give you the demerit points. They sometimes do waive or give you less points

 

Thank you Manwe, appealled personally during my leave at TP and informed them of my clean 42yrs driving licence and that I was guilty of speeding. Look sad, he checked the computer and kindly reduce the fine and points (not much but good enough--at least it is not so near the 24pts!). Cheers!!

 

42 yrs clean record!!! Now thats a shocker and a feat, real tough for any driver.

 

Yes, I'm 'pushing' 60yrs now, with MB no problem. Now the TP and camera caught up with me as the v red 8 is too flashy for them to 'miss'. 8 is a great and fun car to drive......real shiok man!!!

I feel with a car like this, it will be tough to keep the records spotless

 

tested the new Golf GTI last week.. really torquey the moment you touch the accelerator- really different to the 8. That's a car that's easy to lose licence! you don't realise how fast you're going cos inside is quite plush ..and DSG gearbox v smooth.. shiokedelic!

 

I thought of changing to the GTI..but my 8's re-sale price is pretty low. As mine was the first few 8s in Singapore Looks like going to do more mods hahaha

 

yep... The new golf gti is really very impressive...volkswagen have been producing magnificent turbo charged vehicles in the last few years. just look at the caddy, my fren's caddy can easily keep up with me but itz heavily modded la...with blow off valve, diesel pump and upsized injectors

but we still cannot compare turbo car to NA car ... not doing justice to us.. as we are high revving machines... if we maintain in high revs range, we are quite torquey as well... HahHAHA

I know the car... but dunno the owner. Seen him driving down Upper Serangoon near Hougang and Hougang Ave 3 towards Ubi in the mornings. Guess either he's not in the forum or just reading but doesn't post. Exhaust must have been done at FK...

saw a black MM car on sunday along the stretch to world trade centre. wanted to say hi but quite "dao" cause when i slow down beside him he didnt want to look at me OR maybe its just the lights.
