Windscreen Tint
Just want to check with all the bros here, how many of you had your back windscreen and back windows tinted black (darkest LTA compliance)? I'm having a red 8 and is collecting the vehical 2 weeks later. Am still considering if I should tint it all drakest at the back or just 25% so that all windscreen and windows got the same color.

it's been ages pyro, but I took my ride into V-Kool and can't recall the % tint, but just makes LTA compliance both front and rear. I've been very happy with the job they did. Check their website?

I had 3M on mine. Had clear for both front and back but due to its highest UV rejection rate in the market, I am pretty happy with the cabin temp and my air con.

Try not to go below the LTA limits, when u install the window film they will advice u whats the LTA limit and will hav an equipment to test whats the amount of light able to pass though the window+film.
I think all the PI Rx8 have darker tint on their window , so I the PI Rx8 are to install the same type of films as the MM Rx8 did, it may not pass the LTA test.
I happen to met afew car owners while installing my 3M film and they are back to the shop to remove their films and reinstall again.
I ask them why....
Some fail the LTA inspection while 1 of them got stop by a Traffic Police and was told to follow him back to LTA, at the LTA they did a 100% check on the car to look for other illegal mods.
So the driver spend a total of 1.5hrs there.
MOST IMPORTANT of all
If your film are those cheaper ones. The possiblity of damaging your rear wind screen is very high. cos some of the films has a very strong adhesive, and when removing the film it will damage the "heating wire (orange color)"
The wire are those that we turn on when theres fog on the rear wind screen
as for the side windows the "fail films" will leave a thick layer of adhesive and it more costly and take a long time to remove the adhesive than installing new films.
As a result those 3M guys refuse to remove the rear film , unless the owner take responsible for it.
