Hey Joe,
Glad your at least hanging around here to take your licks. Most of us have done some stupid things at some point in our lives.
We, I hope most, just want you to learn from it, and live longer

Here is some advice: You are wrong, you broke the law, be a ******* man and take the punishment instead of trying to weasel out of it with your lame *** excuses about how great of a driver you are and how sure you are of the unknown road conditions.

Last time I checked, the laws in Germany DO NOT apply in the US.
Gee, and you wonder why you got a ticket.

Theres one person at risk you left out, yourself. And Joe you have to expect to get lit up like you did when you say slime ball cop comes back and gives me a ticket. And defend your action by saying I always drive that fast and no ones ever on the road. And as for your advise you got it :get a lawyer, slow down, and buy a bus schedaul becasue you stand to lose your privliage to drive or have you insurance droped.

It’s common practice for cops to sit in the median with their lights off and all of a sudden pull out into the fast lane. Now if that happened when you were doing your regular 100-110 MPH (based on your own words). You would have rear-ended a cop car @ 90 MPH. The more you post the deeper the hole you dig yourself. Also anybody that travels the Turnpike or Parkway knows it is NEVER empty, light but not empty. If you were from Wyoming I might believe your BS but the nobody on the road crap doesn’t work in New Jersey.

Last I recall, the law does not just disappear when there is no one on the road.
And you are not the only one at risk. What would happen if you crash? parts of car and body all over the place. Along comes another car and wammo!
The earth does not revolve around you and yes, Gilligan's Island is on TV regardless if you are home to watch it.

oh and yes a 600f4i goes very fast....my friend died on one while i was overseas.......wasn't very nice for his family ... sell the bike to pay for your fines and added insurance rate.
BTW how old are you...hopefully you can hold out til youare 25 to get lower rates.
You could also try and take a defensive driving course...that will lower your rates. (in va i believe they take a few points off of your license)....just somethign you might want to look into

1. admid you were wrong
2. apologize to the cop that may have saved your life.
3. be a man and grow up and deal with the fact you may have to surrender your license.
4. be prepared to pay about $4000 a year for insurance, if you can find someone to carry you.
5. drop and attitude about how good of a driver you are.
6. Stop trying to be a smart *** about bringing up german roads and asking if people have 8 for the sole purpose of telling them to STFU.

Take it from someone who has driven on the Autobahn....you were way out of line driving like that!
1. U.S. roads are not built/maintained to Autobahn standards. The NJTP would be condemned in Germany.
2. All of the German drivers know how to handle and avoid at high speed. Nobody in the U.S. knows how unless they are a cop or experienced racer.
3. You go 1 mile over the speed limit in Germany and they will not hesitate to throw the book at you. In fact....they have cameras with radar guns in them and they just mail you the fine or the summons, depending on how fast you went. No haggling whatsoever.
4. There ARE speed limits on the Autobahn based on visibility and road conditions....all their signs change via central control center. You can be pulled over and ticketed based on police discretion for anything over 130 kph (80mph).
5. It takes 6 months and $3000 of driving school to be allowed to drive in Germany. You lose your license, you start all over again.
6. Go here to see what your fine would be.
1 €= 1.36 $ 45mph = 72 kph
http://www.howtogermany.com/pages/driving.html
If you insist on comparing the U.S. to Germany, I think you should pay the German fine. $578 fine, and considering how often you drive fast...an easy 12 points with $3000 driving course and six months walking. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
In all sincerity, driver training is the key to safety.
It is about twice as hard to get a license in Germany and they have nearly half as many deaths/injuries.
2003 Statistics:
Fatalities - US 14.66, GM 8.0 per 100,000
Injuries - US 993, GM 560 per 100,000

Get a attorney. register in a safety drivers course PRIOR to going to court and complete it. Volunteer at a school to discuss reckless driving to teens PRIOR to going to court.
The judge MAY let you keep your license.
