If it's broken you must be a helluva pusher to get 12.7 in the 1/4 mile :p

I guess this forum hasn't be fair with Honda's and their potential. It seems like this guy's new threads are trying to advertise or beg for attention as to how fast Hondas can be. Sorry man, not too many people here even care about Hondas and their capabilities. Try other forums for that kind of attention, I'm sure you'll get more. Not this one.

I got a lot of respect for some of the hondas. S2000, Nsx, RSX-S, Type R's, current Si(R), upcoming Si(R) etc etc. Cheap to mod and formidable on tracks. I'm not into the turbo charging of these engines, but as is, they're fun cars no doubt.

don't you mean it RAN 12.57? if it's broken now it ain't runnin' ****. a car that doesn't run isn't going to sell just because at one point in time it ran mid 12s.

I'm thinking there's quite a market for cars like that.

"1999 honda civic ex=9g
add parts to the civic=10g
seeing the face of the guy in the 04 vett when he got beat by a four door sedan=priceless"

Perhaps, but for a minimal amount of modifications he's waxing the floor with your Civic. For 10K invested, it only gets uglier. And yes, I've already heard the argument that the guy in the Civic is money ahead, etc...

With that said, got a list of the parts you had added to the civic?

if the car only ran 12.57 once and broke, i wouldnt say 'its a 12.57 sec car'

to me, whatever time you run consitenly and reliably is the time you run in that car....not a freak 1 time deal, or a run where the car was so on the limit it broke.

Not saying you dont have a fast car, ive driven lots of swaped hatches that are bawlz fast!

happy motoring.

Honda potential?, come on people, take a Daewoo (or any other 4cyl econobox) and put nitro or a turbo and you will hit mid 12's... and few days later it will brake :p

A honda, or a daewoo, or any other car can be made fast with money, but that doesn't make them a better car (or a car to admire). I'd rather take a 12.7 sec Corvette that can run 12.7 sec all year long than a 12.5 sec Honda that was not made to handle the power.

Before my 8, I use to kill all of the riced-up juised hondas and wrx in my slightly moded 02 Mustang GT. To me, it was priceless to see their faces after having spend all that money and still could hang with me. I miss those days now that I drive my 8 like a grandmother.

Are you sure you still don't drive a Mustang? Because you're as knowledgable about imports as most stang drivers...

Heh, that's hysterical. Your Ford with over twice the displacement and 4 extra cylinders can beat up on Honda 4 cylinders, impressive.
