17th Anniversay of Ayrton Senna's Death
Ayrton Senna died 17 years ago today durning the San Marino GP. The previous day Roland Ratzenberger died during at the same race. The lack of runoff room was blamed for the deaths. This brought about the end of major racing at that track (Imola) and changes in safety requirements to all F1 tracks.
The Saturday after Ratzenbergers death and before Sundays race, Senna was heard to say that he was going to reorganize the drivers association to improve the safety conditions for drivers.
The documentary "Senna" , while it has been released in other countries, will see wide spread release in the U.S. in July. Some reviewers say that while is is something you will want to keep as a blu-ray disk, see it at least once in the theater for the impact (no pun intended).

I watched this movie earlier this year while I was in SouthAmerica... Awesome, a bit biased in my opinion, but awesome nevertheless...
We all know Ayrton was no saint but he was GOD... and there will be no one like him ever
We miss you... I still remember crying for 2 full days... and staying home avoiding turning the TV on... what loss...
