2001 Mazda millenia S issue
Hey you guys I dont know if this is the right place but here goes:
I Have a 2001 Mazda millenia S with 65K miles on it
I just did a spark plug job, and one of the spark plugs had oil on it.. is this normal? my first piston powered motor.....

Is the oil on the white insulator (Where the plug boot attatches)? That would be brought about by a bad valve cover gasket. You would see oil on the coil.
If it is in the area of the ground and center electrode then you have oil leaking by some system. A common cause is bad seals in the lysholm compressor (Supercharger). The quick layman's test for this is to remove the front intercooler and see if it has oil in it. Bad oil control rings or valve seals are other candidates as
well but checking that intercooler is easy.

You just have to bring your question to the ultimate Mazda nerd (That would be me).

thanks paul YOUr knowledge is very helpful.. Well the spark plug had oil all over in the spark plug chamber, and on the entire spark plug. also thanks for pointing out the oil in the intercooler cause there was some oil in the intercooler..
That means the supercharger seals are going bad??? man at only 65k miles!?
