2005 Corvette with 12K $48 Out The Door?
I applyed for a used 05 Corvette MT. I can get this car for $100 more a month with $5k down. She has 12kmiles and is in great condition!
Heres the deal. My wages are being garnished for $200 a month. Great perfect timing. Its a old loan I never payed. I realy want the car but I cant get the car unless I pay off the loan that I never payed or I can just stay in the 8 do chapter 7 then get Hymees SC.
Whats your take on this guys?

Well thats the thing. If not for that dam loan I would be ok with the car payment and car ins. But now I dont know. That extra $200 is killing me. Ahh ****. If I dont put down the $5k and pay off the loan I'll get *** raped on the payments but would have the cash for the ins. Gerrrr I just want to die.

yeah man - im no financial wizard and im only 24 but I know enough to say pay your bills first man. if its come to the point of your wages being garnished thats a sign right there, forget about the Vette... period.

OK so maybe I said that wrong. $200 in not killing me what I ment was that can be going to my ins payment. Your right I should own a 4 door familey car

^ Stays with you a really really long time. It's generally worse if you had establish credit before going BK because any underwriter with a damn is going to see this big hole in your credit and know exactly what it is.

You guys are right, that drity 7 will follow me for 8 years. Not good. Looks like my SC money's going on my drity past.
I seen that Vett and was in love. Oh well.

$5,000 would do next to NOTHING to reduce payments on a $48,000 loan. If you're in a place where -$200 per month is 'killing you', don't even THINK about going after a car which likely costs more than you make per year.

Like everyone else has said forget the vette. It is not like they are hard to find, and the price is crazy. I can pick up one here for alot less than you are talking. The price of the used one is what you can pick up a C6 for.

I think you need to learn how to manage your money before considering buying another car. I am a frequent car buyer/swapper, and I will be buying the hottest new sports car every two years or so probably for the rest of my life, but it's within my means of affordability, and my credit is outstanding. In this situation, getting back your credit should be more of an obligation then buying a Vette.
With that said, I know plenty of people that live their life in debt, near bankrupcy, and simply don't care. It's their personality, and there's no changing them. People like that will never have good credit, and will always be living in debt. So, my real advice is to find a better deal on a used vette, because $48k is outrageous. I think if you look around, you should be able to find one for 28-40k, without all that many miles on it. Good luck!!

Thanks. I know how to manage my money. Just that my credit score is not the best in the world like many of your friends. Yup $48K is way to much now that I think of it and have looked into Vettes.
I was just being irrational. I need to chill.
