RX-8 has a 9000rpm tach, but only the last 3000rpm provide useful torque.

But I do agree that if you catch the RX-8 too low, it's wait city. The big sixes have a real advantage here over the Renesis. In my experience, anything lower than 4,500 rpm or so is bad news. 4,500 rpm to 9,000 produces solid, usable torque. Heel & toe is a valuable skill in the RX-8 - use it or loose it! :D
I will say that I too love the G35c. Very handsome, superb engine, and, as you say, high handling limits. But I subjectively like the agility of the RX-8 better, and the interior as well. It's nice to have choices.

I hope that the orange gauges are traded for amber turn signals.
If you can do 60 @ 9000 (okay faster than 60) 40/60 = 2/3, 2/3 of 9000=6000, 6000 not peak torque.

Sorry, I was used to peak torque @7500 and hp @9000, I forgot to use the new numbers.
I guess you have to wait until all three intake ports are 'online' before you get serious power. Isn't that 6250 rpms.
Then the big power comes when the variable fresh air duct works in conjunction with the variable resonance, ~7250

This shows how ignorant people can be. The Altima is a front wheel drive car build on a FF chassis which is completely different chassis from the G35 sedan which is build on a FR chassis (rear wheel drive).
