I like the car, the convertible is cool, but it just has an extremely fat ***. I actually considered buying one before I got the 8. I just couldn't pay that high price.

The backend of this car looks so much bigger in convertible form, as with every car:
This one just seems more reasonable. It feels more proportional in person too.

Who says it still can't happen?

But Saturn, it sounds like YOU like it, so nobody should convince you otherwise.

I have the same issues with the car as everyone else. It's a front wheel drive, tubby car on a less than rock-solid platform. The front air dam is too round for my tastes and the interior could do without those blue accent lights.
My whole thing is that you hear "chick car" all the time when talking about the Eclipse. The 8 is no different from the Eclipse in the eyes of "chicks" except that it costs more -- if it cost less every chick would get an 8. Look how many people rave on here about how good the 8 is at attracting chicks. Don't you think they would get one if they could get their Daddy's to pay for one?
Don't get me wrong. For the price of the V6, the Eclipse is more style than substance. But for around $20k (base model price), I don't see what's wrong with it. Anywho, just my 2¢.
