2007 redesigned Camry

Blah, same old Toyota. Borrrring. They just make cars that are dependable. Which is working for them. But where is the styling and imagination?
I had an '88 Corolla GT-S. That, with the paseo, MR2, Celica (Alltrac included), Supra. They were fun cars to drive with style. People loved the look of my GT-S even though it was an '88. Now all those cars are gone. Now they only have Corolla XRS which is just so sad.
They are losing out to the young tuner crowd I think. It might not be the most profitable group of cars, but they are losing future customers. Sorry just venting at the direction Toyota is going. My 2 cents. Just too bulky, uninspired. I feel sorry for their customers, who seem to lack imagination and style themselves.

Toyota is like the Apple Ipod. Their stuff is sold only because it's popular, but suck major *** compared to their competition. So idiots are fooled into buying their crap, and are deprived of a good experience.

Sadly, GM's lackluster cars of the past 15-20 years aren't the only cause of Toyota's rise. Many Toyota saturated markets in Asia actually have tarrifs and restrictions on American cars that they don't on asian products.
I'm not thrilled by the new Camry, but I don't dislike it or anything.

Okay I'm bring back an older thread. Now that it's been out for awhile, I have to say I'm tired of the Camry because the same BAD LOUSY INCOMPENTENT drivers are buying the LE model and are rolling road hazards.
People who drive Toyota Camrys consistently drive poorly. More than any other car I've seen.

the redesign looks nice, but i wouldn't be able to buy one...toyota's still too boring for my tastes :-P
haha i dunno...my friends and i have had a ton of run-ins w/doucebags in jetta's...more than enough for it to be coincidence...with the exception of maybe a few ppl, i guess the jetta's just the kind of car that attracts that kind of (bad) driver

I first noticed this after realizing that every RX8 driver I had ever run into seemed to actually know what they were doing. Then I noticed it to be the same with G35 drivers and Z drivers and Miata drivers (mostly), and so on. Then I started to look at most SUVs, Camrys, Accords, and pretty much the entire Lincoln line - I realized VERY quickly that I didn't want to be anywhere near these drivers on the road. These people are the same people that believe that the gas pedal is a "comfort pedal;" all they have to do is press it whenever they're feeling nervous on the roads and all their worries go away. They use this pedal excessively.
Pretty much, they don't give a damn about their driving, but they believe they're entitled to do so, so swerving around their f*ckups is on your own shoulders.
PS - I still support brutally difficult licensing requirements and mandatory vehicle dynamics instruction for all drivers. I swear if I see one more person stand on their brakes to make it around a 20 degree corner...
PPS - Please excuse my colorful language, but I have a very colorful drive to class every morning.

I'm kinda hurt that no one pointed out that they redesigned the Camry for Toyota's foray into NASCAR.
Though it still looks like a huge boat but 'eh it looks fast right? And appeals to a wide audience of rednecks.. hahaha..
