2007 Supra

If the rumors turn out to be true, it seems nice. Always good to have more variety of sports cars in this price range. Plus, I loved the gen. 4 supras and I'd like to see the supra make a comeback. Fingers are crossed.

A 500 hp V10 engine - let the rumoring begin!
3.5l V6 is more like it, I'm afraid.
I'd buy a V10 for "well under 30,000" any time. Especially if it's a Toyota.

Here in Australia it has been reported that Toyota will drop the MR2, Supra as well as the Celica in favour of a single model to fit the gap.
A mid engined V8 MR2 looking but much larger sports car is taking the POSITION of the 3 sports car line up .The car will be available in both convertible and coupe forms and in both manual and sequential automatic version , its to be priced not far upstream from the 350Z .Due around 2007
The V10 ENGINED SUPERCAR has officially been put on hold .
cheers

I'd like to see the Supra make another run in the US. I love my MKIII. It would at least give Toyota another "sports car" besides the MR2- which I could have sworn they're either dropping or radically changing- maybe one before the other soon

Well under $30,000? Make me think a little bit. But if they are chasing the 350 z than it can't be that good of a sports car. Atleast not what it should be for a new Supra.

the 3.5 v6 for under or around 30 000 makes sense. why did the supra die? it cost too much! look at what you can get now for 30k! the STI, the EVO, 350Z, G35, RX-8, RSX, MX-5, the soon to be MS6, S2000, and so on. this seems to be the perferred price range for Jap. sports cars. why not release a Supra in that range. i imagine it will be somewhere around 250 to 300hp just like everything else in that price range.

heh heh ... foxman's pic of the toyota looks like a celica that needs a nose job and "eyes" that are too far apart ... ha ha. A new Supra would be a nice addition to the choices out there, but I'll still pick my 8 over anything regardless of it's specs (I'm too in love with it) ... well I'd give it up for an Aston Martin (but that's a different category).

i never trust artists renderings. did u see the motortrend rendering of the c6 vette? it was terrible, they made it look like a POS and did absolutely no justice to the real thing,,,, and this rendering was on the COVER! pure sales whoring going on there since the article was only 2 pages.
anyways, i hope toyota keeps a beefed up internally turbo engine, mazda and nissan dropped those ideas and id like to see it return in the supra. granted, the turbos and fancy gadgets are what made the vr4, 300zx tt, rx7 and supra tt too overpriced to begin with which led to terrible sales... either way, im sure toyota will make this thing look amazing much like nissan and mazda have done, i dont have many doubts about that.
