2009 Camaro First Interior Shots

For some reason maybe due to union laws, domestic branded cars always get it all wrong with the interiors. That new ZR1 for 100k has the interior of a cheap Cobalt. It befuddles me.
However I am pleasantly surprised that the new Malibu's interior wasn't bad. It was a copy off the Camry/Accord.

delhi: must be something to that extent! I've just never understood it.
I was driving around in a Shelby GT 500 Cobra this past weekend and I couldn't get over how "cheap" the interior of that car was.

I don't get what the big deal is here. The interior looks clean and functional and maybe slightly spartan. I do love the gages on the console. i don't understand how everyone can look at a couple of blurry spy shots of a preproduction model and say "GM screwed up again". I am not saying it is Lexus like but this is a 25K V8 300hp+ car and you are spending a lot of that money on the drive train. This is about the standard i would expect.

^^^Same thoughts came to mind when I saw the new Viper....Hard to believe top of the line domestic sports cars are delivered with this interior!!
I know the hard core enthusiasts will balk, but more Corvettes/Vipers are daily drivers rather than race track trailer queens!!

I love the concept interior, hate the actual interior..
It's like they want to awe you with the concept, and then ugly it up with the final product as if none of the American consumer cows will know any different.

i really like the new camaro ive actually really been thinking hard about getting one when they come out or the dodge challenger , id be trading in the 8 dont know yet but im really thinkning about it

I'd have to say I don't like that at all. I was really hoping for a good interior on this car too. That just looks bad to me. Those 2 gauges behind the wheel....whoa. I too was thinking either this or the Challenger for the next car and if that's going to be the final interior I guess I'm not going to be getting this.

This is my next car. I will get one... with a 430hp LS3 under the hood.
And I hope its not that popular so that the "old school muscle car" dingle berries won't go nuts and start paying over sticker for it.

I'll jump in when I think the value of having the Camaro equals what they want for it. To pay over sticker is completely out of the question.

i think the interior is a giant step in the right direction for GM compared to what they used to produce in sports cars.
on the comment about the zr-1 interior. Can any car maker ever produce a car that you are happy with? I mean lets be serious would you be happy if they focused on interior features instead of 600+ supercharged hp.

I'm curious if that person has even seen it, all the pics I've seen look good, everything is leather wrapped, what more do you want. Even the z06 interior is fairly decent.

Then just give it to me. Lets be real if they gave it to you would drive it. Why wouldn't you want a car that pushes you back in your seat when you hit the gas. It's the best rush you can have in a car, rephrase it ties the feeling of carving through the turns in the 8 If they could put the handling of the 8 into the Camaro it would be my dream car.

The concept interior has a more "sleek retro" look to it, and these spy shots show a retro look with all the sexy drained right out of it.
Not enough to make me no longer want it, but it'll be year 2 or 3 of production before I get one. The first year will be all the "old school muscle car dingle berries" paying over sticker.
Momma dint raze no dingle berries!
