i dont think GM would get mad if its just some artist rendering of what it could be like.... that happens all the time. Having this leaked while they are planning on showing it off and wow the world at some upcomming major car show might be a good reason for them to get mad. judging by what people are saying on the GM forums, i think this is legit. plus how else are you going to put "confidential" on the pic lol? GM uses photoshop too. we'll see though, time will tell what the next camaro will be.

well I have seen these types of pics for about 2 years, I used to own several Z28s so I was all over it if they came out with a new one. SO I guess we shall see.... Coming from having a 66 to several others that is not a pretty car to me.

I never cared for most American cars. It's like they refused to take advantage of modern race technology and instead develope cars that make low displacement to power ratios not to mention how heavy most of them are. They are starting to come around, but for the price it's a joke.

Go Texas Longhorns!
its suppose to be based on a stretched version of the Solstice, therefore, the IRS makes sense. The Solstice is a fairly light car, so you could prolly add some lenth, add a V8 and ditch some of the bracing from the convertible structure, and get a car in the 3300'lb range, which isn't bad. This could be lighter than the Mustang.
I like the look, low, wide, short overhangs. This can't come out for GM soon enough.

Reminds me a bit of the gen 1, particularly the quarterpanels. But much more modern. Supposedly, the official press date of the new concept is Jan 9.

barf. Isn't this the same board that hated the retro charger pics a couple weeks ago? I thought those were much better than this, and they weren't even all that different. Overall i am not a fan of either. Retro needs to die.

Why does everyone think the RX-8 invented the 5 spoke wheel, and every car with a 5 spoke is stealing the design?
I think the design is much closer to the 5 spokes I had on my 2004 Maxima....

The '09 Camaro/Chevelle is in planning and will have nothing to do with the Solstice platform. Like the GTO, the Camaro/Chevelle will be produced using a Holden platform called 'Zeta'. If GM is still around, then this car will exist. The reason I keep saying "Camaro/Chevelle" is that GM has not made a final decision on which name they will be resurrecting for this vehicle.

Looks like a knock off, of the mustang.
I personally dont like all these retro to modern concepts car comapnies are doing.
The last 3 gen of camaro have been utter ***** imo, between wasted space and safety issues. From the look of this cars bulk it better have some good room inside, and beefed up safety in terms of spin outs n such...
