Saw one at my local dealership yesterday. Was a black V6 model, didn't really read the whole sticker because it was on/off raining and didn't want to stick around for some dipshit salesman speech.
First impression was that it was ******* HUGE. I traded my 8 for an MX-5. I'm a small car guy, always have been. The 8 was the biggest car I had ever owned. From the pictures I thought it was going to be at least a foot shorter. This thing is as big if not bigger than the 09 Mazda 6 my mother just bought. No wonder it weighs so much. Got closer and the big thing that stood out to me was the horrific paint job that it had. The orange peel was easily seen from 5-6 feet away and looked like they painted textured plastic, not sheet metal. I understand that most new cars have this, but to the extent that it was on the Camaro was just horrible.
Then I looked in the interior and I had to look away. If you want this car, you had better get leather, because the cloth they use looks like ***, looks like the same stuff they use in the trucks. Comparing it to the cloth in my 8 would be a put down to the 8.
Looked at the sticker to see how much and it was a few hundred shy of 28k. Pretty steep price to pay for an automatic V6 with cloth interior. I'm sure it performs well, but by the looks of it, they sacrificed quality for performance. As far as I'm concerned, at the prices people are going to pay for these, it should have both.
Did not test drive it so no impressions on that. Either way, I'm not buying it so I really couldn't care.

^ as I've said it before. The Camaro is nice looking from the outside, but the interior leaves the discerning consumers feeling empty. Very badly put together. I will not go into details about the SS I sampled. But you read about it at www.culturegarage.com.

Whelp, first one got totalled. Hit by a 20 year old with no license and no insurance. Here's the story... the Camaro owner pre-ordered, waited for months, and then paid $10,000 over sticker for it. Had it for a total of 20 hours. Insurance is only going cover the value of the car.

Exactly. The when the 370z first came out there were some dealers asking nearly 50k for it. Almost every highly anticipated car that comes out the dealers try to gouge on the price.
