2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Oh come off the comments about the interior. It's not going to be phenomenal, but then it's also not going to be put to shame by its direct competition.
Nothing in this price range/class (370Z, RX-8, Genesis, Evo, WRX, etc.) has what can be called a world-class interior in terms of design, material quality, or fit/finish.
They're all about the same.

i said it shows promise, what more do you want? i haven't driven one so i can't really say much of anything can i?

sorry. i didn't read all the replies.... also, i disagree. i think the EVO and WRX have extremely low quality interiors... very cheap feeling. the 370 is better, more on par then the 350. i like the rx8, course, i liked it more before i found out about all the rattles.

Glad we got that cleared up...

Well I own and still currently do own my 03' Tib I must say that the clutch will be the issue at hand. Now, if Hyundai has figured out from past experiences that the clutch is the problem, because even the 08 Tib has clutch problems, then everything should be straight.

Shame it doesn't look more like the concept but I'm curious to read the reviews on it. The website for the coupe is pretty cool and includes a track scene and the car doing 360s in a parking lot.
I did sit in the sedan and the interior is really nice but the sticker price was almost $40k. Of course, most sold will be lesser trim levels but I don't car how much equipment is in it, $38k for a Hyundai?

It's easy to hate on it guys but it is a nice ride. I too remember the bad rep Hyundai had but the RX8 has not exactly been the most reliable car i have ever owned so............ We'll see, Looks pretty hot to me.

i saw this at the detroit autoshow, also saw a few prototypes cruising around here in ann arbor. it looks and sounds like a genuinely good car. i think styling-wise it's trying to be a bit original w/ the details and it's not the prettiest car, but mechanically it sounds like a winner. i'd drive it; hyundai imho has reached or at least is reaching the point of respectability. the genesis sedan ain't bad either. i like this car. i'd get the turbo 4-pot. i hope it does well

I think the real questions are the brakes and suspension geometry. Both are seriously lacking on the Tiburon line.

a lot was lacking on the tiburon line
I had a firend that had one and his window motors got shot like 4 times, his tweeters got shot twice, his exhaust manifold cracked and his was an AT and he didnt drive it hard at all. Dont even make me get into the interior quality cause that was just a joke. I think his was an 03 or 04.

Funny how I made a thread about this a year ago and everyone bashed it
Now its mixed opinions....
Personally i'm thinking of getting one myself, but I still need to see reviews and actually drive one
Quit hating

quick question. what determines if ppl are hating on the car? i am quite confused with that term. if somone doesnt care for it, it means they are hating? i dotn like it because it has a ugly front, and looks like a G37 which i think the G37 doesnt look all that hot compared to the g35. but i do like hyndai putting tihs car out to compete agaisn the japanese market. brings more flavor

Well to be fair Hyundai has earned their rep and it is going to take more than 1 car to change my mind. I will say they have my attention now where as before it was 100% blind no.

They have many cars on the drawing board right now, including a 2 seater roadster. They are looking into the market potential for that car. Got this info from an interview done with Hyundai USA CEO.

Check out this thread on mnsubaru.com. they're some nice looking rides. I like what they have done with these cars already. I'm also excited to see Rhys Millen race this car for Red Bull in Formula D this year.

the car is nice, I just have to see it in person. Hyundais look cheap and FEEL cheap, and if this one is no different then sorry im not buying into the hype. But if I go to the dealer and like it then its a diff story.

I agree. I am far from sold. But checking around the net shows the car takes well to mods.
I wonder how Hyundai and their service department will handle this new market segment?
