MAZDA IS RECALLING 25,400 MY 2010 MAZDA 3 VEHICLES. A CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE ENGINE HARNESS AND THE HOUSING OF STARTER MOTOR MAY BE INSUFFICIENT. DUE TO THIS, THE COVERING OF THE HARNESS MAY BE DAMAGED THROUGH VIBRATION DURING OPERATION POSSIBLY CAUSING A SHORT-CIRCUIT BETWEEN CERTAIN HARNESS WIRES AND THE STARTER HOUSING. A SHORT-CIRCUIT CAN RESULT IN ENGINE CONTROL MALFUNCTION AND/OR POOR SHIFT QUALITY.

THE MAIN FUSE MAY BLOW OUT CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL AND INABILITY OF RESTART, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.


DEALERS WILL HAVE THE ENGINE HARNESS INSPECT AND ADD A PROTECTOR CLIP ON THE AFFECTED SECTION OF THE HARNESS. IF NECESSARY, THE HARNESS WILL BE REPAIRED.

wow thats crazy how theyre recalling it already

 

Damn that sucks, I ve started to see them pop up everywhere, this past week Ive seen about 9-10 of them...

 

It's really not that bad, and good that Mazda gets right onto the issue, I think this will be a world wide recall.

The car was just released here (Australia) last week, so I am tipping most of the cars will be checked and modded before a new car is delivered.

The new 3 has not even gone on-sale in Japan yet!

BTW, I checked out from a distance at my dealers show room the new Celestial Blue 3, it is very bright color and different!

 

Here in EU is not in sale yet, but there coming mail for testing the car in advance (there is 1 car by each dealer). some magazine have shortly tested the car.

 

ALREADY?! I see like a bunch of the new ones now... there is a shitload of Mazda 3's at my dealer too.

 

Haven't seen any on public roads in NYC yet. . It's good to hear that they're popping up "everywhere" though.

 

^Indeed, I wasn't sure how your average motorist would take the smile.

Good thing they found while most are still/just arriving at dealerships and not in driveways.

 

Most guys hate the look of the 3 while girls think it looks funny in a good way. I asked a few girls if they liked it and at first theyre like "meh", then it grew on them in seconds and they said it looks "unique in a weird funny way".

 

a friend of mine, she drives a wb mazda3. she really likes the way the new ones look.

 

I might buy a Mazda 3 hatch ... *Sweat*

 

^I think the hatch looks better with the restyle, I love the MS version.

 

The thing is I can't get another Manual (GF too dumb to learn stick ...)

After numerous attempt, including grinding gears(FIT's gearbox is pretty good IMO ... better than the Aisin garbage we have ...) , stalling, too much/too little gas = scared the **** outa me, etc ... (on the FIT)

I give up. I GIVE UP DAMN IT @@@@@@ !

My girl just learned how to drive stick, (she's kind of dumb too) lol
Coz my AT8 was fixing, and my MX-3 is stick, and I borrowed another stick Jetta1.8T, she had to learn, and she did it

 

It's because their economy is completely fucked. It makes more sense for them to ship them to countries where people might actually buy one instead of letting them rot on dealer lots at home.

 

I'm disapointed. I thought you were going to say they recalled that stupid happy face front bumper.

 

I don't really understand why Mazda has yet to release a Mazdapseed version of the new 3 yet. I would have seriously considered making my girlfriend get one of the new ones. However she went and got a new Cobalt SS/TC. I have to admit, I was shamed when she destroyed my 8 at the track the other day.

 

You need to learn how to use your 8.

and the next speed 3 will probably come as 2011 model. (they STILL have 2008 model left @ some dealership!)

 

The MS3 is coming out in fall.

 

they have to recall those mazda 3's those are the cars that are making them the big buks! lol.. not th rx8 nor the mazda 6 nor the suv's lol smart of them to bringt hose little things out first.. im happy to see those things on the road.. makes me smile cause they are paying for the rotary research!

I bet you the revised version isn't going to be all that different. The only thing that would be better in the car is if the turbos didnt face plant after 5700rpm.
