2011 RX7 Confirmed
#176
Looks like a good starting platform as far as the body design goes. If they're going to call it the RX7 why not turbocharge it? If they brought back the name they should at least bring back the tradition with it.
Honestly, if Mazda came out with:
2 seater coupe
Turbocharged rotary
Lightweight body
6-speed manual (hate how everyone is switching to the dual clutch auto's)
Mpg at least similar to the RX8's
At least ~260 bhp and 200 ft-lbs of torque
I would definitly consider trading in the RX8 for the next RX. I'd really want it turbocharged though. Not just for the bragging rights or the noise or anything like that, but 1.6L is still tiny. A turbo would definitly help with the bolt ons. Otherwise I may be tempted back into my old V8 ways...

TBH, I wouldn't care if it's turbo'd or not because it would still be a decent power increase and it might just be all I need...though I'm sure regardless, I'm gonna trade in the 8, or if I'm rich I'll have both
