So by your logic it's safe to say it's common and the norm to have to replace the Renesis early in its life? It's also common and the norm to get 12mpg in an RX-8, right?

they have a fuel filler tube recall too

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/.../NTB06-014.htm

looks like the rx-8 its not the only one with brake noise

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/.../NTB00-033.htm

the also had another recall, this one was for the crank position sensor:

Recall Alert: INFINITI G35, INFINITI I35, INFINITI M45, INFINITI Q45, NISSAN 350Z, NISSAN ALTIMA, NISSAN MAXIMA, NISSAN SENTRA
Owner Notification Date: Dec 02, 2003
Number of Units Potentially Affected: 630000
Component Description: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
NHTSA Campaign Number: 03V455000
Schedule an Appointment Schedule an Appointment
Description of Recall Campaign: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.

THIS COULD CAUSE THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT TO COME ON, CREATE A NO START CONDITION, CAUSE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, OR CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANK POSITION SENSORS. VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN, 01V357, ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS NEW CAMPAIGN. THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS USED IN THAT CAMPAIGN ARE ALSO AFFECTED. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING DECEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT NISSAN AT 18006477261 OR INFINITI AT 18006626200.

Not really a fair when some of these components are used across several lines of cars. Let mazda throw the Renesis in the 3, 6, and the CX7 and see what happens

Besides watching the sales drop to nothing.

OK, just an observation here-means nothing and is anecdotal at best. I work as a manager at Walgreens and one of my Pharmacists has a G35. Well he is on his second tranny and clutch. The clutch went and then about 1000 miles after replacement, his trans went. He has approx 30K on the car. He has made the comment to me on a few occasions that on the G35 forum, transmissions seem to be an issue/weak point. What does this mean to me? Nothing.... But to those who think Mazda is at fault for any thing the 8 does on does not do, this should help them see that there is NO GOLDEN CHARIOT! Cars break....even Enzos...

Welcome to 2003

And yes, they do have websites for other things too:
http://www.lemonlawclaims.com/Consum...iable_cars.htm

Notice what nice things they have to say about a certain car which I am not going to name

That site is nothing more than an advertisement for someone's law practice. The site makes no claims, they simply repeat the (undated) information in a blatent effort to gain income from more frivolous lawsuits. "Lemon Laws" exist so that the consumer does NOT have to use a lawyer IF the consumer has a valid complaint.

Which is EXACTLY what the tire website for the Z is. It provides you a list of attorneys that you can use, aka: "advertisement for someone's law practice".

Neither am I. I did my research prior to buying also (any smart buyer should). I was originally set on getting an 8, but later found a car which was better suited for me.
