Alfa Romeo return to US

I for one always wanted to own an Alfa,

News reports say they might be back in the US in 2007. Gotta love the new Brera and GT.

Since Fiat now owns Maserati, Alfa plans on sharing platforms and dealers with them.

So what about you, would you be willing to buy an Alfa once they reenter the market?

I know, I'd probably be first in line.

I for one living in OZ did not know that Alfa Romeo was not available in the US...

Why no new car network?

The new Alfa's are great looking beasts..... the only thing is that the usual temperamental issues occur even in the new models.

I have a mate who has owned quite a few from new, has the latest 156...electrical problems, door seals leak water, bent steering arm.
Very poor spare parts back up.
Its in at the dealer more times than he cares to recall.

They are great drivers cars, but, they can be real BITCHES to live with.

But, he is an Italian Stallion and loves anything Italy.

yeah jeremy clarkson once said on top gear, Alfa Romeo's wont run very well and will break down more often than not, but that one day when everything is working just right it has got to be the best car in the world.

You see quite a number of Alfa's here. Man the GT sounds so sexy... looks hot too... If they were less problematic I'd get one.

id think we would see fiats here before we see alfa romeo here, im pretty sure theres a lot of speculations, but to realistically enter the US market... i dont think its going to happen this soon. this rumor has been going on for years, so id take it with a grain of salt for now.

No the rumors were there because Alfa want to re-establish themselves worldwide with the new lineup (147,156,GT) before they came here. In the end they decided to not bring those cars and bring the newer model lineup to the US.

The brera is the first of the line-up, they are also expected to release a crossover and a folding hard top. Believe me, I have been interested in the new alfa's for a long time and after a lot of lurking around automotive forums and reading general news items, Alfa does plan on making a US entry with the new cars on 2007.
