i used to live in saudi arabia and the cops there used the chevys (holden based) and my dad had used my uncles 06 chevy caprice ss while we were visiting and it had a high output 5.7L v8 and handled amazingly too and looked good plus the quality (fit and finish) was GREAT!!! love the holden brand (chevy in the middle east is all holden imports!)

Why did they go with the statesman/caprice?!?! Our po-po's use the Commodore SS which has the same motor on a smaller platform, sold in the US as a Pontiac G8 l believe. Much better as a cop car then the bulky statesman.
Still nice to see a Holden getting out there... which remind me, Bathurst is on this weekend :-)

the impalla we use is not a production car. It's quicker and has different performance aspects not found on typical impalas. Most police cars are not found on dealership lots.
