Tokyo, Japan, May 9, 2008 - (JCN Newswire) - Mazda Motor Corporation today announced its newly developed eight-seat minivan, the Mazda Biante, which will go on sale in Japan during summer 2008.
The name 'Biante' was coined from the English word, 'ambient,' to create the impression of a unified interior space that contributes to an enjoyable and comfortable in-car experience for all the vehicle's occupants.
Developed exclusively for the Japanese market, the Biante features best-in-class interior space, distinctive, athletic styling and superior dynamic performance. All of which provides the driver and passengers with a pleasing driving experience.
Further information and images are available on the Biante custom website (in Japanese only) at: http://www.biante.mazda.co.jp/pre/

Many interesting design cues and effects on this car. Unfortunately, throwing more on a vehicle isn't always a good thing. In this case, less would be more.
It's like a Mazda5 amped up on steroids.

Not sure what is up with that odd lil window thing before the side view mirrors but im.. looks alright.. I guess.. just eliminate that window and yeah I think it would look kinda kewl with the headlights and all.

Not too bad...
Is this the successor for Mazda8?

Mazda5 in NA only fit 6 people (kind of an odd number for Minivan), and in Asia it fits 7, so there might actually be market for this in NA if Mazda decide to sell it here, since they no long sell MPV.
