I don't know, Nissian lately is sucking in the looks department (not their upper Infinity cars) with weird angels and shapes. I've seen the new Altima on the road and while some of it looks better, other parts seem off.
The rear lights....I mean, GOD...how big are rims and lights going to get? In the future...cars will be all rims and lights....lol.

i was going to make a thread abotu this but i kept for getting.
i just dont understand why they are making this car, yeah honda does the same thing with the accord and then they have a compact civic copue and the s2000 but nissan the altima coupe the z, g35 and the gtr. itsnt that too many cars for one company. the lower half isnt even thet far apart in price. and yes the lines on the new altima are good and bad its a strange mix up. and you hardley see any on the road becasue the first altima (shift 1.0) works co much better and sold so many more AND THEY ARE STIL RUNNING STRONG.

But since it is everyone's initial take on the car, Nissan is probably dead on in its positioning. 350z doesn't seat 4 - I don't think a 350z 2+2 would sell. g35 is probably going even more upscale (more powerful). Leaves Altima Coupe.

nice but they need to come up with something that looks different and stands out, they now have 3 cars that look the same, g35, 350z, now that, i mean if since its going to be cheaper too whos going to buy the 350 or the G, same engine with the rest of there line up.thats the thing with nissan and infinity they make one design and just switch badges.
thats when the originality of the 8 comes in looks like no other.

I test drove an Altima SER when I bought my RX8 and it was much faster than the RX8 in the straights and handled well for a FWD car. If they made the new coupe in an SER version (brembos, etc.) with AWD or RWD, I would buy one.

Well, at least it seems that Nissan has the sense to stop making ALL ugly cars. This car is a definite step in the right direction in the looks department.
They were on a decent roll for a while around 2000 with the Sentra, new Altima and Maxima - I thought they were all handsome cars, if a bit boring. Now look what they've done to all those poor cars - I have yet to find someone who actually thinks Nissan's current lineup is nice looking. I've even thrown jokes back and forth about the new Sentra with my girlfriend.
