That company is owned by Bob Lazar. The same Bob Lazar that claims to have worked at Area 51 and has been the subject of UFO controversy for years. His hydrogen conversion has been on his website for at least the past 5 years now if not longer and it has never been any closer to reality than anyone else's system.

If it did work though, I'm sure ZOOM44 would be all over it. He'd love to drive a car around that was much slower, less efficient, and had no national refueling infrastructure all in the name of the environment. Me personally, I need the oil industry. It pays my salary but more importantly, it's available and works better.

yeah we'll see if he ever actually produces a kit and runs it for awhile.

By the way he did really work on UFOs at area 51

Hah, pardon the resurrection, but I couldn't resist. I was casually reading into this:

http://www.mazda.com/mazdaspirit/env.../rx8_hre2.html

And some random googling brought me to this thread. I'm almost saddened that there isn't more discussion!

I'll come out and say it: one of the reasons I bought the RX-8 was the tentative possibility of a Hydrogen conversion (or "upgrade", whatever that might entail). Sure you lose some power or whatever, it's not the best hydrogen solution, etc etc. But you get dual-fuel, so you don't even have to change the way you drive. You just sit back and wait for the skeptics of the world to catch up to you.

The bottom line is, it's *brilliant*.
