Anyone want an Atom?

Check this out!! It is car called the Atom, the clip is almost 9 minutes so dial uppers dont even try. This could replace my 8, if it had a top and windshield. :D

I saw this first on Fifth Gear a little whilte ago. Hell yes I want one. It does look cool, but my main gripe is that it can only go 135 in the unsupercharged version, which is too slow for some tracks I'm sure. On the other hand I don't want to know how going over 135 in it feels, because I might go through the intake. I don't care about drivability as much as most people, so the more extreme cars like the Atom and Elise would suit me well.

It's like a super go-kart! So bare bones that it's an engine on wheels! I love his line "I AM AN ALIEN!" then his face goes flat from the speed.

wouldn't be street legal in the US without some lights, and a windshield. Even then, most states only let you title and register such vehicles as minimum use. Driving to and from events and as necessary for testing (though this could be used liberally ). It would be a whole heck of a lot cheaper (and more fun) to build something like this yourself, though.

it's street legal in the US. In fact there are several owners from Washington state to California and other places. Now, whether the owners are only allowed to drive to and from events etc is another story... never heard of such a type of license, but could be... i just hope you're wrong... :D
