Ahh..Adelaide (my city) had the F1 here for 11 years before Melbourne stole it.
At least in the 80's, the Senna, Prost, Mansel era was fun and actually exciting, not like the boring robots of today...

I agree Q2, 3,4 are the best parts of todays F1.

Crikey, I used to go to the local Formula 5000 days (mid 70's), big thumping 5 litre V8's, only half the speed of todays F1's, but what a thumping noise.

Now when did the US last hold that F1 event?

god we are old!!! saw some of the f5000 cars and the canam cars run at the glen years ago at a historic event. it was silly scary.. so much power, so little downforce, such HUGE tires..

old...lol!!!..

How was the thumping thunder of the F5000's, and massive rear tyres..

We has a track A.I.R (Adelaide) which had a long flat 1.5 mile 'drag strip' as part of the race circuit with concrete side walls, those F5000 would rattle the walls as they shot down the strip...wonderful sound...you old bastard!

Anyway... they should just merge aussie v8 supercars with the european v8 superstar series and make the equivalent of superbike. That would be a fun series to watch and would make gt2 and gt3 competitions shake.

i think this was before senna made it to f1. but who knows..

these are the honda cars with canon sponsorship. # 5 and 6.

ok did the google reseach. the third car is prost.. it all comes together!!!! really the photo does not to it justice. it is a big painting..

Actually, "train wreck" is more fitting for NASCAR. F1 is just too predictable.
