i know this is off topic.
but please somebody please tell me what is the good thing about rotary? so that you guys are so crazy for it.
don't tell me about the rev, because for RX8s in high revs like 8000 or 9000 you get less acceleration than when you are at 6000.
A smart person would test drive a car before buying it.

Option Mazgazine pulled about 264ps for the Mazdaspeed 6. Adding a cat-back and a boost controller netted something like 286ps. Not too shabby.

What does "ps" equate to in terms of whp? I want to be impressed but I'm lost right now.

If that magazine actually measured REAL power numbers (before and after adding a boost controller and CB exhaust) I'm assuming that means they put the car on a dynomameter. If their dyno measured power at all four wheels to be somewhere around 260whp then the MS6 is more underrated than the SVT Cobra and SRT-4...combined! Methinks they used a GTech Pro or something comparable though, which is really not the best way to measure those things. Just the same, that MS6 should haul. Why buy a FWD V6 Accord, FWD V6 Camry or FWD V6 Altima when you can steal an AWD MS6 for the same price and twice the fun factor.

I think the 2.5L goes for around $21k, but the V6 version is closer to $25k, no?

i think with 250hp on a AWD car, it should do 0-60 under 5 secs... i dont think it had that much, probably 230-240 if the 5.3 0-60 is to be trusted, just a guess.

I hate getting hung up on 0-60mph times because it's such a magazine stat, but 260awhp in a 3500lb car should be good for a very low 5 second time I would think.

Can't wait for my test drive. I will be trading my 03 in for this bad boy. Just haven't figured out what color I want to get.

right and if you use it efficiently you could get your answers much faster by searching than asking others
