check out the hood! how can you have room to do anything in there? its like a little triangle. i thought the 8's hood was small. but pretty sexy still if you ask me...but probably would never buy an Alfa. maybe if they decided to put a rotary engine in it...wow!!

Saw a crossfire today in Paso Robles - not impressed noted that it had grill silverware but seemed bulky and overdone - sort of a 60s retro. The Alfa is pretty, and looks like a nice 'girls' car, but I think the 8s, styling is more masculine - sure got the attention of the old Widower up the road - we may go to Parkfield together for BBQ -

Well of course they aren't your taste. Anyone who likes the design of an STI has bad taste.

Oh, the 'for the money' part of the thread title got cut out of the title from the main page, duh. To answer the question, hell no.

1) no
2) front looks for some odd reason like the second to last gen Prelude IMO.
I do like the back and overall dimensions though. that part looks very unique and upscale. it does look more expensive than 40Kish, but not much.

Oh come on,. While the EVO and STi are pretty much the most unattractive cars that match their performance level, someone like Ike simply doesn't place looks as important over straight up performance. He'll take an unattractive car that produces unique performance any day over a hot and sexy roadster/coupe that makes EVOS and STI look flat out silly when standing still. simply because they look better to him when he drives them. I am that way. While I find the STI to be way below average in looks for a performance car, it does look pretty good to me. Of course if it didn't perform that way it would be a hideous butt ugly car. I'd make total fun of, as almost everyone would do.
It's just all personal preference, but at least he acknowledges these cars for being incredibly designed in looks and refinement. Gotta give him that much, even if he is totally partial to cars that emphasise performance before looks.

The first picture was Ok but the little puckered front needs something. Looks like a cross between an 8 and a 323 - too much hatchback
The second pic I thought it might be a modified 8 - they are getting close to those lines that make the 8 so appealing. Saw my first red one last week at the dealer - would have liked to meet the owner. But the 8 has total eye appeal. Gate Guards, when you go onto a military base generally just check you I.D.s, now they want to talk cars...
Even old ladys try to race you - had a wierd experience 2 days ago - a 40 year old female driving a high status machine desided to follow too close on River Road, which winds along the Salinus. She kept easing closer so I let the 8 out to mere 47 mph, and on the fourth turn she parked her car in the grass. I slowed enough to make sure she was OK, shook my head and Mom is looking back and asking "Now what was that all about"? There is just something in the looks of this car that drives some people nuts!
