Brand new owner, had a few questions

Hi all, I am new both to this forum, and to RX-8 Ownership. I just have a few questions. I own and drive a 2005 RX-8 GT 6spd
1: I live and work on an Air Force base and have a relatively short drive to work and back to my dorm room, is there any benefit to adding an Apex-i engine timer to let my engine run for a little while after I drive to work and back?

2: What is the best intake out there for this car?

3: Does anybody know of any clubs in the Tampa FL. area?

4: My uncle races RX-7s and adds two stroke oil to the ratio of one ounce for every gallon of fuel, would there be any benefit to doing that for street driving?

Thank you very much,
Airman 1st Class Kevin Eells USAF

1: Try to get it to operating temps before shutting it down and make sure it has the latest flash from Mazda.

2: There are many opinions on intakes: Stock is actually rather good but there are many ways to go.

3: Someone from Tampa is sure to chime in.

4: Pre-mix is good. That quantity is way excessive for a car with a functional oil metering system for typical street use.
