I crunched some numbers...
At 1.3 gallons per minute, the Bugatti is consuming fuel energy at a rate of about 3.65 Megawatts or about the amount of electrical wattage as the ... ready for this ... Empire State Building!!
Wow!!!

Ps. The Empire State Building is actually about 5.7 Megawatts, but close enough.

I recently had a chance to sit in the Veyron and it is the most amazing piece of engineering Ive ever seen. Just standing next to that car makes you feel like a celebrity, but sitting behind the wheel is like sitting in Gods throne.
To give you all the correct info since it was hard to hear right in the video:
The tires melt in 15 minutes at top speed. The gas tank is empty in 12.
Probably the most striking thing about the car is how small it is. In pictures it always looks like a rather bulky machine, but it stands just a bit longer than an Audi TT and about the same dimensions otherwise.
Here are a couple of the MANY pictures I took of the Bugatti, there were some other very amazing cars at this show, including a Spyker Spyder C6, the new 3.35 convertable, the new flying spurr bentley, and the new Rolls Phantoms.
The Bugatti, of course though, stole the show.
