The car still has me speechless, i have had the luck of seeing one up close (and wasting half my day at work drooling over it), My boss recently became one of the first people in So Cal to take delivery of one... and god damn is it beautiful!
The insane thing is he drove it into our workshop, with the "skilled" forklift driving that goes on in our shop i wont even drive my car in it .... but nevertheless, here it is...
The attention to detail is unreal, sorry i dont have more pictures of it right now, but they pay attention to everything, even the interior crap you can see when the hydraulic rear wing is lifted looks like it has had so much thought and time gone into it.
And simple things, like the storage console inbetween the seats has small pinpoint LED's lighting up your stuff (for most veyron owners that "stuff" probably totals more than the cost of our cars...)
And the engine sound.... oh god....

The top speed mode is really a cheater mode. If you turn the steering wheel 90 degrees from straight, the car reverts back.
The top speed mode in handling is ~235mph. (That is why it says for speeds above 375kph)
So if VW decides to 'uncork' and extra 200hp from the turbos, then maybe 253mph will be available in the normal mode.
Maybe all it will be will is a software overboost mode, only availabe in 7th gear. Look at the engine rpm, it is over peak power ~6200 compensating for parallax.

No, you stop the car somewhere, use the top speed mode key. Then you find you own personal straightaway. If you turn the wheel anymore than 90 degrees once you get above 35mph, your out. If you hit the brakes, your out of top speed mode and into handling mode.
It is if the top speed mode was designed expressly for that test track.

It's incredible what can be build, produced, and sold when money isn't an object.
BUT, am I the only one that really doesn't care for the body shape? Giving it's a pure car vs. air design with looks taking the back seat, and it is the fastest prod. car on the planet, but I enjoy the looks of the enzo better. Its too rounded for me, too audi TT shaped. But of course if money wasn't an object i would get one.
