Bullrun on Spike
Anybody watch Bullrun tonight on Spike? It was better than I expected, but something that's nagging me is that they showed footage of the first leg of the rally that appeared to be of a Noble M12 or M400, but there was no mention of that car being involved in the show and in the clip they acted like it was the Lotus Exige, but I'm almost positive it wasn't. Anybody else watch? Anybody notice the mystery Noble?
Edit: It was an M12 GTO, apparently it's the pace car for the show. They had a little clip about it on the web site.

Yeah, I watched it. Pretty sad that it has nothing to do with driving skill or the speed of the car... just whether or not you and your co-pilot can read a map. The team in the Ford F-150 came in first in the second round while the Lotus Exige came in almost last? And the "challenges" that they have to do that actually test driving ability were laughable: we're going to stick a pole on your car and you have to drive past some lightbulbs and smash them. Stupid.
What they should do: have the cross country stage, fine. After that, all teams participate in a challenge to test car and driving skill. And it can be different each week, a short tarmac rally stage, a drag race, a uphill or downhill touge, a couple laps of an autocross course, etc. Then average the results of the challenge against the cross country stage.
As it is, I'm sure that will be the last episode I watch. Why can't we have just one good car show in the US?

The show would have been a lot better if it wasn't for the super dumb challenges at th end. Fireworks and hitting lights with spikes- stiupid! It should be just a rally- race from point A to B anyway you want but it's your butt if you get nabbed.
