the rx8 isn't on the list, and I don't care for any of the other cars mazda makes.

Considering its limited product line and lower volumes, Mazda's showing is great. I think Mazda is one of the makers that has had a good amount of mentions on the 10 Best list. I think Honda and BMW are the top 2.

Too bad the newest MS3 is not as good as it could be.

The GTI has gone through a renaissance and seems to be placing on the list every year lately.

Boo, if not the RX8 i'm bummed about the MS3 not being there.
Either way, go Mazda!

It's predicatable but still high praise for Mazda's DNA. Kuddos!

The MX-5 styling has been morphed into an mini RX-8 (thankfully) with really no competition in the segment anymore .... and after all isn't the MS/MS3 duo THE standard bearer for hot hatches these days? Absolutely since Subies have fallen to the Toyota syndrome.

Just my opinion, if Mazda had an engine worthy of the R-8s handling prowess, it 'could have been' (sigh..) a contender, but it's a dead horse now. Mazda's into the eco MX-2 thing nowadays, and that could be a winner next year.

in order to qualify the car either had to be new or had to been a 10 best winner the year before. the rx-8 won 10 best 3 years in a row already. you can pretty much count on the miata always (or almost always) being on the list; it's such an excellent car, if i didn't want/have the 8, i'd get a miata. the ms3 is nice. mazda really is pretty awesome these days. the other day i went to wander around dealer lots and drooled over the ms3 and miata on the lot. on the honda lot there was really just nothing remotely interesting, just automotive appliances
