actually deed is correct. That is the japanese skyline. It is not the GTR. Japan wont have a another GTR until the new one is released. They however have had skylines for the past few years every since the r34 gtr went out of production. Its only in the US were we wont call it a skyline, we call it the g37 and as far as the skyline GTR, in the US its gonna be called just GTR. Not skyline.

 

What we know as the Infiniti G35 (now G37) is the Nissan Skyline in Japan. It is NOT a continuation of the Skyline GT-R line. It's the same difference between the normal Mitsubishi Lancer and the Evo. The Skyline GT-R became the car you posted, which, when released, will be completely separate from the Skyline model line. n00b

I seem to recall they were going to separate the names into two different cars so both would be available. So there will be a GTR and a Skyline.

 

there already is a skyline. But there will be a GTR in the future.

So does anyone know if Speed will be airing any of the race's this year or will be forced to watch the ultra condenced versions on some random 30min show aired between 1am and 9am on Sunday on Speed?

Iunno, I don't have cable no more but they used to show JGTC all the time about 3-4 years ago on Speed. Damn, I miss watching all the cool shows like Speedvision Cup and cheering on Kleinubing in his Type R and Foo in his Civic. Damn those were the days.

Japan has always had regular skylines (such as the gts) and then there high end skyline the gtr. In japan the new GTR will be called the Skyline GTR. Because the US doesnt have a skyline (instead the g35) we will not be taking the skyline name. Therefore we will have the Nissan GTR.

We get some JGTC races on Cable here in the UK which is nice, but only rarely

And yeah I'm sure thats an R33 going by the shape of the lights, but its probably had EVERYTHING changed so its probably a mix of them all :p

I do not watch NASCAR, and I understand what the JGTC is. My comment still stands that thing is a snow plow.

The drag on that car is going to be retarded.

A well thought out aerodynamically designed car would be this.

oh kinda of curious what you think the drag on the denso supra one would be and most likely you thikn the silver one is a snow plow also.

i understand y ou think that the GTR looks like a snow plow. but what i do not understand is, how you can not see if that snow plow look helps the car or not. obviously the engineers who designed that look felt it helps.

 

I don't know why you seem to think that this would produce so much drag. looks like a widebody to me so... is it the sharp front fenders that make you think that way? oh well i think it's pretty badass, just needs a paint job that's all. I mean every part seems to be pretty pricey on that car, just try finding out how much an ARC racing intercooler is, even their standard cores cost and arm and a leg.
