On the other hand it has a CRAPLOAD OF DOWNFORCE!
I am sure the Carrara GT would take the Shelby but I want to know can it take the Enzo? and why have there been no comparison?

I'm just annoyed that Ford isn't innovating.
First, we have the retro Thunderbird.
Next, the retro Mustang. (Although to be fair, I do like the way it looks.) Now, they're bringing back the 500 nameplate and the Monterey. And now the Shelby Cobra....
Coming soon! The 2006 retro Ford Falcon! The 2007 retro Ford Galaxie! The 2008 retro Ford Edsel! The 2009 retro Ford Pinto, complete with new exploding gas tank!

The Ford GT is a modern interpretation of a classic, legendary race car.
And it's performance is also race-car like.
No, not some tarted-up Civic/BMW/Integra etc that does touring car events.
A real race car.
It's awesome, and like Ike said, I'd take one in a heatbeat.
Even if they do a modern Cobra, it will be just that... modern, and will have the performance to match.
Hey, at least Ford is taking chances and producing this stuff.
