Clutch slipping ... How can you tell?

What are the symptoms? Is there a test you can tell?

If the rpm's go up and the car doesn't pick up speed it is slipping. Usually it is the upper gears (4,5,6) that will slip before the lower gears, since it takes more torque to turn those gears.

I would suggest not doing it too often though, or you will end up killing the clutch.
