Yep your right I know nothing considering I owned a Chevy before my Rx8 and my whole family owns chevy's and have had zero problems out of them... Just because you hate american made cars doesn't mean the rest of us do man... Chill out...

 

I had a '94 Z28 for 7 years and it was unbelievably sturdy. I had 1 repair in the entire time I owned it. Chevy has done alright by me in terms of reliability. That being said, the only Chevy I would own at this point would be a C6 Corvette. I personally think the Cobalt looks absolutely hideous and FWD is lame.

 

I dont really care if it beats STi or Evo. I dont have one anyway.

the fact is that Chevy is not a good brand. plus Cobalt SS is nothing but some FWD Econbox modded up with SS from factory. Thats the fact. no matter how much you and ur family love them.

so tell me, if Chevy is really AS GOOD as you claim it to be, why are they still going for bankruptcy (GM) ? As of this time, they're still operating at a loss, in fact, HUGE loss.

Bottom line man I wasn't trying to start **** with you online that's not my deal. I'm just saying I've been around Chevy's all my life and never had a problem out of them... To each their own... They are operating at a huge loss and I know that I personally believe that the new Camaro will help that situation. I was told that Ford owned Mazda when I bought the car.. Either way I dont't care... I love the car I have and I don't care who makes it doesn't have an effect on me...

 

Competition is always a good thing. Trust me I dont want to see any of the big boys to go under.

The new Camaro looks good ... if they can really deliver their promises, then it might be a good way to "shine" their brand.

It cracks me up seeing some of you fanbois getting butt hurt over a Chevy. And Rotory owners talking about reliability Please remind me which car Mazda recalled for not putting out the performance numbers they claimed it to have.

If it was Nissan/Honda/Toyota/BMW/insert foreign car company/ that posted the same lap time with that car with their emblem on it, you guys would be praising it to the high heavens. But because it's a GM car, it automatically fails.

I've been on the Subaru Imprezza forums, and they are more angry towards Subaru for making a failure of a car than GM.

And for those of you that mentioned lap times not being a deciding factor when it comes to purchasing a car, I'm willing to bet that you are the same people that tout the laptimes of your particular car when you compare it to others to justify your purchase.

Looks are opinionated. And I see a TON of good looking girls driving Cobalts. Might just be my area though. And I don't know of many girls that are impressed with 4-door cars that don't have BMW/MB/Audi/Lexus written on it.

Oh, the Honda Civic Mugen RR [not the Mugen Si being sold here] is faster then a S2000 around a track. I bet that fwd econobox is a peice of **** too right? How about the Civic and Integra Type-R's? They are just hopped up fwd econoboxes.

Jeremy Clarkson [the most famous anti-american car personality out there] said himself that he recommends the Stig buy a Cadillac CTS-V.

And I wouldn't have to pay $20k to get my transmission replaced on a Cobalt.

I dont know what your dog have been telling you, but Rotary has been pretty reliable except for 13B-REW and thats the thing that totally ruin the 20-30 yrs of Rotary reputation, Warren Buffet said it takes 20+ years to build reputation, and 5 minutes to ruin it. Mugen RR is nothing but Mugen parts pre-installed from factory. why dont you try to throw a set of Mugen stuff on a S2K and see what happens ? Take a bone stock Civic with nothing on it and see ?

the cobalt ss is a faster, stronger, better handling car than any other car in its class so why not give its props .... "oh its an american car" who gives a ****.... american cars are just like any other cars as long as you take car of them they will take care of you .... before i bought my 8 i had 2 american cars a plymouth and a COBALT and neither of them gave me any major problems and my plymouth had 180000 miles on the same clutch and 5 people learned how to drive standard on it

so dont tell me that the cobalt isnt up to snuff with the EVO, STI,the S2000 and stop being ignorant by saying that just because its a chevy you hate it

 

You can love Chevy, so why can't people hate them ?
