Concept Cars they should have made!
What are your favorite concept cars that never got made?
i really liked the Ford 49 concept

Loved the minimalist interior and the engine bay treatment. I would have done different tails- something frenched maybe to go with the hotrodder scheme. but over all a great piece that would have been nice to own. instead they built the lackluster thunderbird.
Staying with the hot rod theme i really liked the Holden Efijy in 2007. they shoudl have built a couple thousand or something. they would have made money on each one.

I really think Mazda missed the mark by not producing the Kabura

Mix the Kabura with the flow theme as seen in the Kazamai (especially the downturned nose instead o the wide open mouth )

and rotary or not it would have been a great little coupe that i think Mazda is sorely lacking from its lineup.

Yup.. IMO that Kabura remains a major FAIL for Mazda for not producing it...rotary or not. They desperately need a sports coupe. Look at the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Mazda has the tools to easily outdo that car...and could definitely price it in a similar range.
Anyone know what engine(s) they were trying out in that Kabura? By the looks of it I'm thinking the turbo 4 used in the MS3 would not fit in there but if they could produce something close to the Kabura size and lightweight with ~250hp they'd definitely have a winner.
That Ford looks good too. They defintiely should have produced that rather then the fugly Thunderbird.
